Indore: 41 probationer DSPs to get tips on cyber crimes
Indore: City police inaugurated a six-day cybercrime capsule course for 41 probationers Deputy Superintendents of Police at Police Radio Training School (PRTS) on Monday. The course will conclude on March 2, 2019.
The chief guest of the programme was former Additional Director General of Police Devendra Singh Sengar and special invitee was former Inspector General of Police Dr Asha Mathur. While addressing the gathering, PRTS Inspector General Dr Raman Singh said PRTS is working in the field of cybercrime for the past few years.
“We live in an information technology-based society. The new technology and its advancements must be understood to fight against cyber crimes occurring in the present scenario,” Singh added.
Explaining the details about capsule course, Singh said DSPs will be educated on overview of cybercrime, CDR analysis, e-mail tracing, cyber forensics, IT Act and other case studies. The programme will include lectures from former police officials on how they solved different cybercrime cases using technologies.
